Seeding for the 2017 Season of Northeast Pollinator Plants

Winter still swirls in northern Vermont, but open any greenhouse door at River Berry Farm, the home of Northeast Pollinator Plants, and you're embraced in delightful warm, moist aromatic air.

Yesterday was seeding day for the over 60 species of Northeast Pollinator Plants.  Most of the seeds have spent the last two months in cold stratification, simulating wintry dormancy. The next few weeks of daily watering will come with a watchful eye. The first sight of green never fails to bring a smile and a sense of wonder that is a seed.
