Notes: Hypericum punctatum, Dotted Saint John's Wort, is quite similar to the invasive Hypericum perfoliatum, Common Saint John's Wort, but this perennial has distinct dark spots on the flower petals and new leaves. Bumblebees love Hypericum and several caterpillars utilize this species as a host plant.
Noted as deer-resistant AND FOLIAGE IS CONSIDERED MILDLY TOXIC TO MAMMALS.
